SCVAA Baseball General Information

Commitment to Fun, Sportsmanship, and Skill Development

The St. Croix Valley Athletic Association (SCVAA) is a non-profit, fee-based, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to delivering structured youth athletic programs. The primary goal of our programs is to foster the development of individual and team skills, promote positive self-esteem, and ensure that participants engage in a rewarding and enjoyable experience within a supervised environment. While teams are generally comprised of children from the same school, roster limitations may require adjustments, and this composition is not guaranteed.

Program Structure:

Boys T-Ball (PreK & Kindergarten)

  • Every participant plays in every game — no bench warmers here!
  • One game per week, scheduled Friday evenings (May–June).
  • A fun and encouraging introduction to the game.

Recreational Baseball (Grades 1–3)

  • Games are non-umpired to maintain a supportive environment focused on learning.
  • Emphasis on developing fundamental skills and teamwork.
  • One weeknight practice and one weeknight game per week.

Umpired Baseball (Grades 4–7)

  • Competitive play against SCVAA and neighboring community teams.
  • Games are officiated by paid umpires.
  • Focus on structured game play and rule understanding.
  • One weeknight practice and one weeknight game per week.

High School Age Baseball (Grades 8–9 & 10–12)

  • Teams play under modified or full High School baseball rules.
  • Integrated with teams from neighboring communities, but coordinated by SCVAA.
  • One practice and one to two games per week.
  • VAA Juniors League: 8th/9th Grade Division
  • VAA Seniors League: 10th–12th Grade Division

Volunteer with the SCVAA Baseball Program

The SCVAA Baseball program is powered entirely by volunteers. Without the dedication of parents and other adults, this program wouldn’t be possible.

We invite you to help make a difference by volunteering at either the organizational level or during practices and games. Whether you can assist with planning, coaching, or simply supporting kids on the field, every contribution matters.

The more parents involved, the better the experience for everyone!

For more information or to volunteer, please contact the SCVAA Baseball Commissioner at: baseball@scvaa.org
