Our Approach to Wrestling:

At SCVAA Wrestling, we are committed to teaching beginners the "basics" of wrestling, but we take it a step further. We're redefining the basics to help young athletes develop the fundamental skills that will serve them both on and off the mat.

Our Focus:

Wrestling is often thought of as an individual sport, but at SCVAA Wrestling, we believe it’s much more than that. Wrestling is a “Family” sport, and we want to create an environment where everyone—athletes and families alike—feels part of something bigger.

We focus on fostering:

  • Family values: Wrestling is about working together, supporting each other, and growing as a team.
  • Community: SCVAA Wrestling is committed to making every athlete and family feel welcome and accepted by the Stillwater Wrestling Community.
  • Belonging: We want everyone to feel a deep connection to the Stillwater Wrestling Family, where everyone’s success is celebrated.

Our Goal:

At SCVAA Wrestling, our ultimate goal is to:

  • Fall in love with wrestling: We want our athletes to develop a passion for the sport and enjoy the journey.
  • Feel welcome and accepted: We strive to make every family feel like part of the Stillwater Wrestling Community.
  • Experience a sense of belonging: Our athletes will experience the unity and camaraderie that comes with being part of the Stillwater Wrestling Family.
